| The Friends of the Garden and Springfield Sister Cities announce that their next fund-raising trip to Tlaquepaque, Mexico will take place from February 3-10, 2017. The trip includes a visit to Springfield's sister city in Mexico with a stay at a bed and breakfast boutique hotel, private receptions and parties mingling with local artisans and musicians and scenic tours including a visit to a monarch butterfly sanctuary in central Mexico.
The cost is $2200 per person, plus $700 additional to visit the Monarch butterfly overwintering site. A $500 deposit is due by September 1, 2016. A copy of a valid U.S. passport must be submitted with the deposit. Twelve openings are available.
